Mengyu Chen is a researcher, engineer, and creative technologist specializing in designing and prototyping futuristic intelligent technology products. With an interdisciplinary background in human-AI interaction, computer graphics, and multimedia design, his work explores how mixed reality environments, intelligent agents, and computational media shape our behaviors and perceptions. Mengyu designs and builds interactive systems, VR story worlds, and gen-AI content creation tools, pushing the boundaries of spatial computing and networked experiences. After earning a Master’s degree in Digital + Media at RISD and a PhD in Media Arts and Technology at UC Santa Barbara, he is now an Applied Research Lead on the Global Technology Applied Research team at JPMorgan Chase, where he explores next-generation AI-powered immersive technologies.
